I have never been into statement necklaces, so when this bright blue and yellow silver Perry Street statement necklace arrived in my 3rd Rocksbox set, I was a little overwhelmed. What would I pair it with?? Could I wear any other accessories with it?? Would it be overboard/gaudy??
I decided to ease into wearing a statement necklace by pairing it with plain old boring white. That way I could ensure that the focus would be on the necklace and that I wouldn’t be over-accessorizing. I really like how the pops of color add a dimension to my outfits. In addition, the necklace is mostly silver, with just hints of bright blue and neon yellow, so I feel like it’s not overwhelming.

Next I moved on to pairing it with blue! A complimentary shade of blue can really make the blue jewels pop. And it allows me to have some fun with my outfits and use color to my advantage.

I have been wearing this necklace a lot recently, so I decided to purchase it from Rocksbox using my June Shine Spend and Forever Spend!

Now that I own it and feel more comfortable with it, I’ve really been going crazy. My last step was to pair the bold necklace with an equally bold print. I chose these blue, green and white peacock print cuffed shorts from H&M. I paired them with a plain white tank top, also from H&M, and then added the necklace. Because the necklace and shorts have complimentary colors, it doesn’t clash. But it definitely makes a statement!

Statement necklaces such as this Perry Street Bethany necklace can be dressed up or dressed down, made to be bold or toned down. I love that!
