Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve seen that “sheet masks” are a huge trend in beauty right now. Rather than apply a mud / cream mask to your face then let it sit and wash it off, sheet masks are already fitted to the face (with eye and mouth holes) and you just let the product sit and soak in.
Sheet masks are great for scaring people you live with, or for sending silly Snapchats to your friends. But they’re also great for their actual intended purpose, which is refreshing and rejuvenating your skin.
I tried out the Grace & Stella Honey Facial Sheet Mask, and roped in by boyfriend, who is always intrigued by the weird things I put on my face.
Honey is a totally underutilized ingredient in beauty products. In fact, it’s the only food product that never expires (honey found in Pharaohs’ tombs in Egypt is still totally edible!). Honey also has antibacterial and antioxidant properties that can help fight acne, skin damage and premature aging.
We tried out these Grace & Stella masks on a lazy Saturday afternoon while binge-watching The Strain. All you have to do is remove the sheet mask from its packaging, unfold it and place it on your face. You wait about 20-30 minutes, then remove it and rub in the excess formula on your face and neck!
Our faces definitely felt clean and refreshed after we removed the masks. Best of all, they contain no parabens, phthalates, sulfates or alcohol, so it felt great to be doing something great for my skin.
