Lipstick drives me crazy. I find the perfect shade and it looks AMAZING. I feel gorgeous, like a model or a vamp walking around with my beautiful lipstick. I sashay to the bathroom. I look in the mirror.

NO LIPSTICK TO BE FOUND.

If that is your life story, then you’re probably also tired of all the lipsticks claiming to be “long-wearing” and “kiss-proof” with a “24-hour lifespan”. They are ALL LIES, and I know because I’ve tried them all with no luck.

When I tried Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink lipstick, I was of course intrigued by the GORGEOUS color (Dreamer, #10), but I knew it would be a short-lived application.

NOT SO. I wore it out on the boat in the middle of summer while getting wet in the river, drinking icy blended ChiChis and getting chapped in the wind. My lipstick was STILL THERE. It didn’t rub off on my clothes or on my cup. It was still there after all this.

The bold color means you have to be super careful in applying it. It will get on your teeth, stain the skin around your mouth and be messy. But if you’re careful in taking your time and applying it just right, it will be worth the time because you won’t have to worry about reapplying.

Next I want to try Loyalist, a light mauve, and Heroine, a vibrant red.
