Readers of my blog know that I have sensitive teeth, so much so that it’s getting in the way of using my favorite whitening product, Smile Brilliant, as regularly as I’d like!
Having sensitive teeth sucks. You’re eating a delicious ice cream cone, then OW. The pain sets in. You want a hot latte but know it’s not worth the pain. And brainfreezes aren’t the only unfortunate side effect of fruit smoothies when you have sensitive teeth.
Sensodyne really works. Almost immediately my teeth felt better, like they had a protective barrier over them or something. Sensodyne Deep Clean also really made me feel like my teeth were clean and my mouth was fresh. The foaming formula helps this. It’s like shampoo – when it doesn’t lather, you feel like it’s not working, even if it is.
Unfortunately, Sensodyne Deep Clean is NOT a whitening toothpaste. I use Crest 3D White toothpaste daily, because it makes my teeth sparkling white. I find that using it daily removes all the surface stains that accumulate on my teeth with regular life. Sensodyne Deep Clean did NOT do this, so my teeth looked dull and discolored.
However, I did some research, and Sensodyne offers an Extra Whitening 24/7 Protection formula and a Repair and Protect Whitening formula. I think I’ll try out one of those next so that I can get the sensitivity help AND the whitening refresh I need!
Do you have sensitive teeth? What do you do to treat it? Let me know in the comments!
