Current Obsession: Bold Blossoms

Nothing brightens up a home like fresh flowers. Grabbing a fresh bouquet at Trader Joe’s is one thing. Receiving flowers as a gift is even better. But with Bold Blossoms, a new floral subscription service, you can treat yourself – and your home – to a new seasonal bouquet every month, without getting off the couch (except to get the box off the front porch, of course).

Bold Blossoms is a new company dedicated entirely to bouquets. Founded by a florist who tired of only doing flowers at weddings, Bold Blossoms delivers bouquets to subscribers every month. The team personally designs each months? bouquets, selects in-season flowers from farmers they have personal relationships with and then hand-tie the bouquets together. The bouquets are ready for the vase as soon as you take them out of the box!

I had to admit, I was intrigued to see how a bouquet of fresh flowers would hold up being shipped in the mail. But the team thought of this, too! The bouquet arrives wrapped in waterproof paper, and the stems are rubber-banded to a “water bag” that keeps them hydrated. The bouquet is even zip-tied to the bottom of the box, so your flowers don’t get tossed around in the UPS van!

The bouquet also comes with an instruction card that walks you through untying the packaging, snipping the ends of the stems and applying flower food to the vase. Each bouquet also comes with a handy info card that tells you about the flowers in the bouquet! This is such a great idea. Too often I find really pretty flowers I love in a bouquet, but have no idea what they are, so I’m unable to buy them again (or drop a hint to my fianc? that they are one of my favorite flowers).

I’m stoked on the November bouquet. The dark jewel-tone flowers, dark perky green leaves and sprigs of red-brown leaves just scream”fall“. Plus, the bouquet is expertly arranged, way better than I could do by sticking Trader Joe’s flowers into a vase.

I can’t wait to see what the other months? seasonal bouquets look like! I know the world is inundated with subscription boxes, but this is one box I definitely think is worth it.
