I love wearing the newest clothes and latest fashions. But the first thing I do when I get home from work every day is strip off all my clothes and put on something way comfier to wear. After all, no one is seeing me or judging my outfit, so why not lounge around?

That being said, there’s no reason to stick to old t-shirts and ratty sweatpants. Loungewear can look cute and make you feel good, too.

That’s Happy Socks’ motto. Happy Socks is a Swedish company that was founded”to spread happiness by turning an everyday essential into a colorful design piece with a rigid standard of ultimate quality, craftsmanship and creativity”.

And that’s exactly what they did. They’ve turned socks into something you buy quickly on Amazon when you run out, or purchase on a Target run as an afterthought, and you definitely don’t want them as a present. They are not fun, they are necessities.

But Happy Socks are definitely fun. They’re so fun that they partnered with my favorite hotel chain ever, The Standard, to put pairs of socks in the mini-bar of all rooms. If The Standard thinks you’re hip and cool, you definitely are.

I just had to give these socks a try, so I ordered a pair of regular socks and a pair of liner socks in my favorite print ever – giraffe.

I love giraffes.

But the comfy and cute doesn’t end with socks. Happy Socks also offers underwear. They sell briefs for women, and boxer briefs and boxers for men. I picked out a pair of blue briefs with multi-color hearts to try. I’m not a huge fan of briefs – I feel like underwear with backs always bunch up in my butt crack, so I might as well just wear a thong in the first place – but these were super comfortable and fit great! I’m definitely considering picking up more pairs for the days when I wear pants (can’t have panty lines, can we?!).

I also chose these white and black geometric men’s boxers. I love wearing men’s boxers to bed as shorts. In the summer, it’s too hot to wear yoga pants or pajama pants, and I hate wearing nightgowns because they just slide up the whole night. Boxers are the perfect solution! A size small men’s boxers fit me great and kept me cool and comfy all night long.

Last, I wore these blue and white polka dot pajama pants. The nights are still cold here in LA, and these pants keep me nice and cozy. I thought they were women’s pants, but I think they may be men’s, because the waist and hips parts simply do not line up with my body. Nevertheless, they are still comfy.

And, contrary to the popular adage that you should never give socks as gifts, they offer gift boxes of printed socks and underwear that are way cool.
