Domestic Diva – Decorating for Fall

As upset as I get when summer ends, I do love all the fall decor! From different color leaves to pumpkins, apples, pine cones and more, it’s so exciting to decorate the house! After all, there are no real “summer” decorations and it’s way too early for Christmas decorations.

Decorating doesn’t have to take lots of time and money, either. I raided the dollar section at Target and found plenty of cute things to use on the cheap!

Fall wreath – This wreath is so simple, I instantly fell in love! I’m not one for big, involved wreaths. So I like that this one is small, has simple straw and just a few fabric flowers in fall colors. We hung it on the front door using an adhesive hook, so it doesn’t put any holes in the door or take off the paint. This wreath was just $3.176

Pumpkin doormat – This jack?o?lantern doormat is from last season. I love it so much! It’s so fluffy and cute. Yes, it’s a little inefficient, since you don’t want to actually use it and get it dirty, but it is quite adorable. I put it by the balcony door, since I think that will make it get less dirty over time.

Autumn window clings – These fall-themed window clings were only $1 at Target! They are super fun to apply, with a jelly texture that’s fun to touch. Ramsay and I placed them sporadically along the glass leading to our balcony. The leaves, acorns and pumpkins are perfect for fall. We also got a turkey one for Thanksgiving that will go up in November. Cheap, simple and cute!

Scarecrow and pumpkin figurines – These are other items from last year. The scarecrow is so cute and happy! He makes me smile. And the pumpkin is great because it doesn’t rot and die (although I will also be decorating with baby pumpkins as soon as I find them out at Ralph’s).
