I’m at my heaviest weight ever, and going up the stairs makes me out of breath. I hate admitting this, especially since I’ve been eating well for the last year and getting plenty of sleep, and chug water like it’s my job. Clearly, the missing puzzle for my body is exercise. But with a full-time job, a puppy, a fianc?, friends, family and a sleeping disorder, I’m always tired and fatigued. After a long day of work, I’m simply too tired to work out, and motivating myself can be nearly impossible, even after looking in the mirror and crying at what I see!
There simply is no substitute for energy. Without it, you can’t work effectively, you’ll feel tired and cranky and you definitely won’t have the motivation or capability to work out. I drink Monsters daily, which have 200% of Vitamin B12 per can, so I don’t think I have a B12 deficiency. However, I decided to give these B12 Energy Plus patches from PatchMD a try.
PatchMD B12 Energy Plus patches contain Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folate, Vitamin B12 and Biotin to increase energy and stamina, release antioxidants, promote healthy metabolic functioning and improve clarity and memory. The patches are time-released, so one patch will last you 24 hours. The patch itself is sugar-free and hypoallergenic, so all you have to do is apply one patch daily to a relatively hairless area, and go about your day.
I’m always skeptical of stuff like this, particularly since I take in so much B12 a day anyway. However, I really did notice a difference with these patches. The patch did not stop me from having to take my daily 2-hour nap in the middle of the day – DAMN YOU NARCOLEPSY – but I did feel awake much later in the day. The first day I tried the patch, I couldn’t sleep at night even though I felt tired. The next days, I was able to stay awake reading for an hour, when normally I would pass out within 15 minutes of trying to read a book in bed.
PatchMD makes tons of other patches, including Multivitamin, Vitamin D3/Calcium, Iron Plus, Sleep Starter, Vitamin D3, Biotin, Anti-Aging, Omega-3, Acne, Menopause, Vitamin C and hangover. I can’t wait to try the hangover patches in Scotland next week and see if they help!
Have you tried vitamin patches? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
