If you’re looking to do something a little more low-key this weekend, try hitting up Venice Beach Wines on the border of Venice and Ocean Park.
This adorable little spot (attached to Superba Snackbar) on Rose Avenue has a great outdoor patio perfect for people-watching and an intimate setting.

I went here recently with a small group of girlfriends to have a glass of wine and catch up. The patio is tiny, the crowd is large and the wines are expensive. That being said, if you’re in the mood to smush up real close to your companion (a friend, or maybe a date?) it’s a good scene. There’s plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood if you don’t mind walking a little bit and they also serve traditional wine bar food if you want a nibble.

The best part is obviously the extensive wine list. They serve the wine in stemless glasses and have a variety of whites, reds, pinks and bubbly. I believe they also have beer but you would be doing yourself a disservice not to taste from their wide variety of wines. The location is also super chill – in the heart of “classy” Venice, a few blocks from the beach, but away from the intolerable hipsters. A win for everyone involved!
Have a chill night out with some friends or a romantic date and let me know what you think in the comments!
