Getting Crafty: Balloon Wall

When Ramsay and I have parties at our apartment, we like to have a customized step-and-repeat for photos (I work in PR, and sometimes the PR leaks out of me). For Christmas, we did a red and green snowflake step-and-repeat that took weeks and weeks of hard work. Our birthday was a little easier!

Both our birthdays are in February, only 2 weeks apart, so we had 2 separate parties at our apt. With all the beloved guests, delicious drinks and silly fun times, lots of photos were in order. So I made a construction paper balloon wall!

Making this is super easy, just time-consuming. Simply find the perfect balloon on Google Images, blow it up and print it out for a template! I used this classic balloon shape, but you can mix it up with several different templates for variety, like the long and skinny ones.

Then just trace them onto different colors, cut out and tape up! This wall ended up having over 100 balloons on it, and I would estimate it took 15 hours over the course of a week. But if you have friends over to help you cut, it can be a fun, relaxing social activity. It’s also super cheap – several packs of construction paper and tape are like $10.

Besides snowflakes and balloons, what are some good construction paper items to make a step-and-repeat with?
