Holiday Party Season: A Studded Holiday

No, not a star-studded holiday – just a studded holiday.

I fell in love with this gray? Charcoal? Matte black? dress at H&M and had to buy it for the holiday party season.

When I purchased it, it was much longer in length, although still pretty short. Unfortunately, after just ONE WASH, the dress shrunk to a completely unreasonable length. I shelled out about $40 for this dress since I figured I’d wear it to many work-related holiday parties. But now, it’s only good for non-work-related events, or maybe to wear over leggings or tights. I’m not happy about that!

The high neckline and” sleeves were a big draw for me. That leaves the focus on the studs. The studs on the end of the sleeves and the bottom hemline of the dress are so fun. I have always loved studs, but am aware that they can come off very edgy or punk rock-y. These studs definitely add a rock’n’roll flair, but they’re not overwhelming. They come off more festive than anything else.

I paired the dress with these black nubuck stiletto ankle booties from Delicious Shoes. These are my favorite winter shoes, since they are sexy, trendy, expensive and comfortable. All you need, bam!

Since the dress is already studded-out, I kept jewelry simple. The high neckline and all black material around it means I could wear a silver necklace. This “Britt” necklace is from Monogram Online and is one of my favorite new purchases.

My right-hand ring is the Tiffany’s T&Co 1837 double band I wear every day.

How do you rock studs, grommets or other punk-rock-y styles for the holidays? Let me know in the comments!
