Last up is this outfit that is perfect for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day celebrations. It’s family appropriate, church appropriate (I think, I wouldn’t know though) and also has some room for fun.
I started building this outfit with this dark green long-sleeved cotton dress from H&M. I was drawn to this dress for several reasons. First, I think long-sleeved dresses are so flattering, and make my arms look thin. Second, green is a color that is quite underutilized in fashion, so I try to work it into my wardrobe whenever I can. Third, the neckline is high up, meaning no cleavage, and the length is longer than any other non-maxi dress I have. It’s perfect for occasions when covered-up is best.
Next, I added these black nubuck ankle booties from Delicious Shoes. The nubuck is so luxurious, and looks expensive and professional. Even though these booties are stilettos, they’re still incredibly comfortable.
A cream/off-white fur vest is next up. I bought this faux fur vest at Cotton On and have been wearing it to death. I love the color. It goes great with lighter colors, sure, but it also provides a nice contrast to black and green.
But wait! This outfit can get even more festive. I found these reindeer ears in the dollar section of Target and snapped them up. I don’t really like how I look in hats, including Santa hats, because headwear smushes my bangs in a weird way. But these reindeer antlers are on a headband, so they don’t ruin my hairstyle. And they’re more unexpected than a Santa hat!
I wore this outfit to the Ms. In the Biz holiday party and felt super Christmasy. I’ll rock it again now that Christmas is near!
