Holiday Party Season: Pop of Red

The best thing about holiday parties is that they are fun, bright and festive. Unlike other parties, where it might be best to play it safe with plain black, holiday party outfits are allowed to be bold and colorful!

I designed this outfit to make a subtle statement. I formed a party-ish outfit out of neutral colors, then added in a festive pop of red that is perfect for the holidays.

This black long-sleeved shirt is from H&M’s Basics collection. It’s soft, fits great, and goes with everything. I paired it with this white/cream-colored lace miniskirt from Forever 21.? The ruffles and ruching on the skirt emphasize curvy hips, so don’t wear this if you don’t want to call attention to your hips!

For my fun color pop, I added these red snakeskin wedges from Ella Moss. The shade of red is”a little more subtle, not too red or bright. And the black sides on the wedges tone it down a bit as well. But it’s a fun way to add color without taking over the outfit.

For jewelry, I went gold. This long chain necklace is from Forever 21. My gold left-hand ring is from Gorjana. My right-hand silver ring is from Tiffany’s.
