This week, I’m kicking off a week and a half of holiday party posts. These posts will be on holiday outfits you can wear to your friends? holiday parties, to work/client parties and to family affairs. It’s the busiest party season of the year, and no one knows how to work these events in fashion like PR pros.

First up is an incredibly work-appropriate outfit. This jewel-tone royal blue blouse is from Windsor. I fell in love with its bright and happy color, its professional cut and the fun cuffs. The silver studded cuffs are the perfect addition to this blouse. They are fun and absolutely scream”I’m trying to be festive” but they aren’t over-the-top or too overt. Best of all, the royal blue is great for holiday parties when everyone tends to be in red, green and black.

I paired this top with my favorite black liquid leather leggings from H&M. These skin-tight leggings are super flattering, and help balance out how billowy the top is. After all, when you go oversize with one piece, you have to play around with proportions.

For shoes, ankle booties add a funk factor that I absolutely love. Here, I’m wearing nubuck leather stilettos from Delicious Shoes.

For a work event where I knew I’d be spending hours and hours standing, I chose super-comfortable black ankle booties from Payless. The boots are wedges, so I’m still dressed-up in heels, but with an added comfort factor.

Luckily, the blouse does most of the accessorizing for you! I added the simple “Return to Tiffany’s” silver necklace and “T&Co 1837” double band ring from Tiffany’s and that’s it.
