Good ole? American red, white and blue isn’t only for the summer months, when the Fourth of July, boating on rivers, fireworks and cold drinks make us break out our most patriotic gear. You can rock the color combo for winter too!

This red, white and blue striped scarf is from Charming Charlie. I love that it features the American color combo, but in shades that are just a little”off”. The red is a little maroon, there are two shades of blue. That way you can get away with wearing it year-round without looking like an Uncle Sam wannabe.

I paired the scarf with this red sweaterdress from Forever 21. I purchased this dress during Forever 21’s winter opening sale in red, green and beige! I would have bought every color if they had offered more – it’s so comfortable and works for both work and play.

I kept footwear simple with brown suede western ankle booties from Payless Shoesource.
