OOTD: Beachy Pink Tunic

I almost never shop the sale rack at H&M because it’s often full of rejects – things from seasons past, oversize things, ripped things. But I walked by and a jolt of pink caught my eye – it was this amazing dress “Tunic” Cover-up¬†thingy that I now wear all the time.

Beachy Tunic 1

For just $10, I absolutely had to try it on. Its long sleeves, interesting cut (short in the front and slightly longer in the back), cute paisley print, hot pink color, sheer fabric and weird lace v alongside the buttons were just too cool for school. I can’t really place my finger on what this item is or what it is supposed to be used for, which I think is its best quality.

I tried it on and it fit great! I opted for a size six. Although it’s too big in the waist, I liked the roominess this afforded me, and the extra space in the sleeves (too tight long sleeves are the absolute worst). I’m seriously so comfortable in this tunic it’s insane. But the best part is that I look put-together and cute at the same time!

I have now worn this dress twice and gotten multiple compliments every time. I’ve worn it to work, I’ve worn it shopping and to errands, and I would also wear it to the beach as a cover-up (it may be long-sleeved, but the sheer material will ensure you don’t overheat).

It just goes to show you – just because something is on clearance, or because it doesn’t look good on the rack, or it isn’t your exact style, doesn’t mean it can’t become one of your new favorite items!
