If you, dear reader, have learned anything about me just yet, it might be that I enjoy breaking all the fashion rules. No white after Labor Day? Winter White is my thing. No being too matchy-matchy? Coordination is my skill. No black in the spring and summer months? I rock it anyway.

This long-sleeved black lace dress isn’t too far away from a spring aesthetic. After all, a flowy fit, lace sleeves and soft cotton fabric are just what I’m looking for from spring fashion.

When this photo was taken during wedding venue touring at South Coast Winery here in Temecula, the weather was chilly and breezy, so I paired the dress with black suede ankle booties. However, it could also totally be rocked with black suede pumps for a summer night, or with black strappy wedges for daytime.
