Being cozy is important in winter. It’s cold outside, you don’t want to get sick, there’s nothing worse than freezing at your desk or when running errands or when sleeping. But being cozy doesn’t mean that you have to look frumpy!
I love this black oversize sweater from Fashion Rush Clothing. It’s super funky. The shoulder seams hit lower down on the shoulders. The sleeves are” sleeves, not long sleeves, and are oversize. The shirt is oversize but then tapers back in on the bottom. And the material is soooo soft.
To avoid looking frumpy, I decided to pair this oversize sweater with my slimmest, most figure-flattering separates.
These dark skinny jeans are just $9 at Forever 21 – you really can’t beat this deal! And the dark color goes well with the black.
Rather than pair this outfit with my cute textured ankle booties, I went for my slimmest pair of boots, this black knee-high pair from Payless Shoesource. These boots are amazing – they fit my calves really well, have a flattering but comfortable heel and have cute buckle details.
Last but not least is this black and white chevron print circle scarf from Charming Charlie. I figured that a full-size, long scarf that you tie yourself would simply be too much material for this oversize sweater. Instead, I opted for a circle scarf, which has only the minimal amount of material and is already sewn into its shape. No hanging down, loose ends or bulkiness.
