Turquoise truly is the color of summer 2016. And for good reason. It’s bright, bold and happy, and is flattering on a variety of skin tones. I decided to take this gorgeous turquoise dress from Forever 21 and accessorize it in a “boho” style. This outfit is perfect for wine tasting in the desert, certain local desert music festivals or even just brunch in the city.

To add a bohemian flair, I paired the dress with these brown suede fringe sandals from Payless Shoesource. I’ve always wanted a pair of fringe sandals, but most pairs I come across look way too weird, or they look cheap. I love these sandals because they’re cute and funky without going overboard or looking tacky. Also, they’re super comfortable and fun to stomp around in, because the fringe moves and sways.

The icing on the cake is this turquoise “Still Surprise Me“ choker from Ettika. The turquoise beads and gold accents look like they belong in the desert of New Mexico or Arizona. I love the desert vibe and it also matches the dress perfectly.
