I LOVE this outfit because of the sheer daring-ness of it all. One of my goals as a fashion/lifestyle blogger is to be more daring with my outfits. When I saw these funky, bold, oversize palm tree pants in H&M, I just HAD to step out of my comfort zone and buy them.

I opted for an XS size, because the other sizes were WAY too oversize, and I wanted to ease into this trend. The pants are so soft, and they have pockets. Although they feel like wearing pajama pants, the tailored fit makes it obvious that yes, you did actually get dressed before you left the house.

I opted to pair the pants with a tailored solid black tank top, also from H&M, tucked in to seem more professional. To make it even MORE clear that I wasn’t wearing pajamas, I topped the outfit off with a pair of classic black/gray wedges from Payless Shoesource. After all, who wears heels to bed???

I definitely got a lot of stares. I’m not sure if people liked the pants, admired me for being bold, or were silently mocking me for looking like I was still in my PJ’s. Either way, it was definitely an exercise in being brave and adventurous with fashion! And when I saw other girls wearing similar pants by the beach that weekend, I made sure to give them a big smile so they would know that they were killin’ it!
