On a recent gloomy day, I woke up feeling tired and just blah – not unusual for me when it’s cold and gray outside. I pulled on my favorite gray yoga pants from Forever 21 and was fishing for a simple black sweater when this bright yellow sheer button-down tank top from Fashion Rush Clothing hit my eye.

I figured, why blend in with the weather, when I can brighten up this cloudy day (at least on my own person)?

Because the tank is sheer, I wore a white cami from American Apparel underneath. The button-down is not very long, plus I was wearing it with yoga pants, so I didn’t tuck it in. Rather than shove my cold feet into cozy suede boots, I opted to look as cute and “springtime” as possible and chose these gray studded ballet flats from American Eagle instead.

Because the neckline of the button-down is so high, I thought a necklace would only get in the way and be cluttered. This time, I didn’t wear any accessories. Next time, I may pair this outfit with a plain white watch or an orange or pink bangle.
