Here in LA, brunch is practically a religion. Sunday Funday is a ritual to be taken very seriously, and brunch with the girls is an opportunity not to be missed. You can catch up on your weekends, awesome (and failure) dates, the work week that passed and the work week ahead, etc.
I love going out with my girls because it’s an opportunity to really wear cool outfits. Guys are often confused by fashion and like more classic or casual things. When I’m out with my girls, I bust out the bright colors, neon, faux fur, crop tops and fun textures and it’s not only a conversation starter but a bonding experience over fashion.
I started my outfit with this bright yellow peasant crop top from Forever 21. The color is so happy and reminds me of sunshine – perfect for spring! The style is also en pointe right now – peasant tops are super trendy.
To both enhance and balance out the bright yellow, I opted for this crisp white skirt from Express. And because the skirt is high-waisted, I can show just a sliver of midriff (at the slimmest part of my stomach, no less) to be sexy but not too revealing.
These white ballet flats from H&M go perfectly with this outfit. I am careful not to wear too-high heels with short skirts, so I think the flats are perfect for this miniskirt. Along the white color scheme, I added a white rubber watch from Wet Seal. I love this watch because it’s both classic and feminine. To round out the accessories, I included these brown sunglasses from Forever 21. I tend to destroy my sunglasses by sitting on them or scratching them in my purse, and Forever 21 has sunglasses that are not only cute but also super cheap.
My purse is from Steve Madden, and it’s the best. As a woman, I tend to carry my life around with me in my purse, and this bag is large enough to fit lots of essentials. It’s also so versatile – the fact that it has brown, black and white means I can pair it with pretty much anything.
