Few people are less of a hipster than me, but I must say that there are some “hipster” outfit combinations I love. One is a flowy romper and ankle booties.
I found this black floral long-sleeved romper at H&M. I was originally looking for a floral dress, but after trying on this romper I was absolutely hooked. I love the way it fits! I love long sleeves, and the oversize sleeves are comfortable and perfect for cold weather. Yet the shorts are short and show off my legs, great for a warm LA fall. The waist is nipped in and the buttons allow you to either show cleavage or cover up.
To maximize the legginess, I added these black nubuck ankle booties from Delicious. Nubuck is cowhide leather that is rubbed on the outer hide to make it feel like suede. These stilettos are indeed super soft and luxe-looking! Best of all, they’re very comfortable! I chose them for this outfit because they hit low on my ankle, showing the most amount of leg possible so I can look long and lean and not cut off.
Because the neckline is low, this romper calls for a cute necklace for accessories. I wore a silver necklace with my name on it,”Britt, that I ordered from Monogram Online. Ordering the necklace was super fast and easy, and it came in a matter of days. You can get any name you want on any piece of jewelry – snazzy.
Last but not least, I emphasized the bold nature of this romper with a bold ring. I love my cat ring from Meowingtons! Meowingtons is an online boutique that sells cat-related jewelry, scarves, bags and clothes. I want everything. But my favorite item is this “sphinx” ring, which is a cat with emerald green eyes curled around your finger. It’s so fun and definitely makes a statement.
So, if rompers, flowers, ankle booties and cat jewelry make me a hipster, then at least do I look good as a hipster?
