OOTD: Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking.

Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.

Love that Miranda Priestly quote from The Devil Wears Prada! It’s snarky but it needs to be said. What’s more cliche than wearing florals for spring?

Although florals are hardly”groundbreaking, they sure are cute. I love this chic white and pink floral dress from Charlotte Russe – it may be a stereotypical floral dress, but it’s been updated to be on-trend.

The dress boasts two trends: Fun sleeve details and an off-the-shoulder fit.

We’ll start with the sleeve details. I love long-sleeved dresses because I don’t like my arms. This dress covers up my upper arms, but showcases my slim lower arms in a cute, flirty way.

The off-the-shoulder cut is another trendy feature. I also adore the square shape of the neckline, yet another characteristic that makes this dress stand out from the crowd.

This dress can be worn with wedges and made into a brunch-in-the-city outfit. But it also has a country vibe to me, so I paired it with these brown suede ankle booties, also from Charlotte Russe.

Both the monogram”B” necklace and the “Dreams Come True If You Really Want Them To” necklace are from Ettika. My rose gold wood watch is from Tempus Wood Watches.

How do you make florals for spring less cliche? Let me know in the comments!
