I love neon. Neon is usually reserved for 80s flashback parties, and not for everyday wear. But why shouldn’t you be able to wear a super-bright color in a modern cut?

This neon dress from H&M immediately caught my eye (I mean, how could it not?). I love how the dress looks pink in some lighting and orange in other lighting. I also love the silky, soft, flowy fabric that it’s made out of.

With a dress like this, it would be easy, and cute, to make it more demure by adding nude wedges or flats and classic, subtle accessories. However, I woke up one day and decided to take the outfit to the max and go big or go home!

That’s where these bright pink and orange suede wedges come in. I saw them on Payless? website and I just HAD to have them. They make such a statement! I’ve worn them with gray and white to jazz up basic outfits. But the best is when I wear them with this dress and really go all out with bright color!

Last, I added this gold giraffe necklace from J. Crew. The necklace is subtle but breaks up the pink a bit, and helps tie the outfit together, since the neckline of this dress is so high.
