I love gray, but I do admit it is a pretty boring color to wear. I don’t want to give up wearing gray, so instead I try to think of fun accessories, pops of color and other ways to make gray items interesting.
I love this gray wrap sweater that I found many years ago at a Goodwill store, but have never worn! It looks so cute on, but hanging in my closet it just looks blah.
Because the sweater wraps in front, you need a shirt underneath. Rather than opt for a simple solid-colored cami, I chose this white silk lace camisole that was my mom’s! I think it’s technically a slip, but it’s cute enough to show off under a sweater. I added basic skinny jeans from Forever 21.
Then I decided to mix it up! I played with three different pairs of shoes to make completely different looks.
White ballet flats from H&M bring out the white in the lace camisole and are dainty and delicate:
Silver studded flats from American Eagle bring out the gray in the sweater and add a funky edge:
Gray suede boots from Payless Shoesource are super comfy and tactile, and are the perfect addition to this warm outfit.
Which pair of shoes do you think matches best? Let me know in the comments!
