Long, flowy skirts (and maxi dresses) have been all the rage all summer. I love my legs, and I hate the feeling of having material on my legs, so I usually resist this trend and stick to my short skirts and dresses. But when I saw this long flowy hot pink skirt at H&M, I just had to give it a try.

I love this skirt because it is the perfect compromise between a maxi skirt and a miniskirt. There is a long, sheer layer that hits the feet, but there is a thicker miniskirt underneath, and the sheer layer has a high-cut slit in the sides. So even though the skirt is long and covered-up, it still shows a hint of leg, and it’s flowy in the breeze so your legs get some air.
Best of all, this skirt is perfect for daytime, nighttime and every occasion in between.

I wore it to Vegas with a plain white crop top from Forever 21, gold gladiator sandals from Target and a long charm necklace from Forever 21. It was breezy enough for the desert heat, and was a great segue from traveling to sightseeing to lunch to pool. The soft, flowy fabric and high-waisted fit also make it comfortable enough to wear while sitting in a car for 5 hours.
I’ve also worn it to work with a plain white tank top from H&M, the same charm necklace from Forever 21 and gold metallic flip-flops from Forever 21.
The look segued perfectly into happy hour out in Santa Monica when I paired it with some less-casual sparkly gold and beige suede sandals from Forever 21.
Will it work with a thin white long-sleeved shirt in fall/winter? We’ll see – I truly think this skirt is versatile enough for almost everything. And if it’s not, I also have it in black ;)
