It’s the last bit of summer. The air is crisper and it’s getting dark way too early. To counteract this, I thought of the brightest and happiest outfit I could!
This bright combination of green, blue and white screams “South Beach” and “Miami” to me. It also looks like something I would pack on a vacation to a tropical island. And since I tend to wear colors skewed toward orange, yellow, pink and beige, I like how this top branches out of my color wheel comfort zone into greens and blues.

This satin asymmetrical top is from Fashion Rush Clothing. It’s so fun! The straps tie together, so you can place them where you’d like. I love the angles. The v-neck collar line perfectly compliments the upside-down V that the shirt forms. The satin material is soft and flowy, and the stripes are fun.
I paired this top with white capris, also from Fashion Rush. These capris are made out of actual denim (no jeggings here) so they are good for the slightly cooler weather.
The last step is my braided white sandals from Forever 21. Their slightly nautical feel, with the white braids that look like ropes and the subtle gold accents, make them perfect for this “island-y” outfit!
I skipped accessories this time, since this top is such a statement piece. But a delicate gold necklace or subtle nautical bracelet (white or gold rope) would work well here.
