It’s finally 2017, and we’re SO hopeful that it will be a better year than the dumpster fire of a year that was 2016. January brings a new year, with new goals, fresh hopes and increased motivation.
It also brings super-cold weather. LA had a statistically freezing and wet December, with tons of rain, highs below 50 degrees Fahrenheit and nights below freezing. So far, January seems to be bringing more of the same.
I’m ready to head to the river with my bikini and get my tan on, but alas, this is not to be. I’ll have to have the January blues.
This outfit is good for January if you’re in an office with a heater like I am (put on a warm jacket if you’re heading outside!).
This super-soft light gray lace shirt is from Fashion Q, a boutique in Rancho that I absolutely love. I love how the lace is only in the sleeves and top of the blouse, not in the back – aka you can wear this shirt to work and not have your entire bra strap showing in the back through the lace.
I paired the gray top with this bright royal blue pencil skirt, also from Fashion Q. I tried on this skirt and instantly fell in love with how flattering it is! It’s a conservative length, which is perfect for the office. But it’s also form-fitting. The stretchy material is PERFECT – it skims over my curves rather than hugs them too tight and makes me feel like I can’t eat lunch. I purchased the same skirt in olive green and bright red, and I would have bought every single color if they had offered any others.
These gray suede stiletto ankle booties from Payless really tie together the classy outfit.
But no classy outfit is complete without some Tiffany’s jewelry, like this blue and silver “Return to Tiffany’s’ heart necklace and silver”Tiffany’s T” ring.
