In nice springtime weather, there’s nothing more simple than a top and a miniskirt. The combination is quick and easy to throw on in the morning. Different solid-colored tops can be mixed with patterned skirts, or different-patterned skirts with solid tops, to create entirely new outfit combinations. You can alternate t-shirts, tank tops, long-sleeved shirts and crop tops with high-waisted miniskirts and A-line miniskirts. It’s so easy!

That’s why I’ve dubbed this outfit”KISS – Keep It Simple, Stupid“. I started with a fun patterned skirt, this black and white one from H&M. Then I added a black long-sleeved shirt, also from H&M, and black ankle boot wedges from Payless.

Accessorizing is the fun part here! This gold double-strand necklace from Forever 21 is fun but also fairly subtle. My silver ring is from Tiffany’s.
