We can be very outdoorsy here in LA – we have some of the best hiking; extreme sports like BMX, surfing and skateboarding thrive here; we have every sports team imaginable and you can go surfing in the ocean to hiking in Joshua Tree to hiking through a forest to skiing in the mountains all in one day.

But here, I’m gonna be REAL stereotypical LA and laugh at our “roughin’ it”. For every legitimate hiker we have, we have 10 who are just in Runyon Canyon to see and be seen (and pet all the adorable dogs).

That’s why I love these “outdoorsy” boots from Payless. They look so rugged – lacing up and everything! But they also have super-high heels, and are made of suede that can easily get dirty. So they’re actually the worst shoes to wear for anything where you really need to put some effort in!

In keeping with the “nature” theme of the boots, I wore this olive green sweaterdress from Forever 21 and this off-white faux fur vest from Cotton On. Call me a leaf, a deer, whatevs. All I know is that this post goes together better than SoulCycle and a Pressed Juciery juice cleanse.

My gold layered necklace is from Charlotte Russe. I also decided to layer my bracelets – a Tiger’s Eye Charged bracelet from Ettika, and a gold bangle, also from Ettika.
