Fall colors don’t have to be boring! There is no need to dull down your wardrobe and stick only to neutrals like black, gray and navy once Daylight Savings hits.
This mustard yellow t-shirt from the H&M Basics collection is oh-so-soft (and only $5). I love that the shade of yellow is bright and sunny, but it’s also a little darker and more muted – making it more “fall” than “summer”.
I paired the mustard top with these super-soft heather gray pants from Forever 21. These pants are AMAZING. They are the perfect color (I’m such a sucker for gray). They fit so well – so flattering. They were $10. The fabric is super-soft and a little thick, so they will keep me warm when the weather gets cooler. I love the slim fit. I love the zipper accents on the ankles – they jazz up otherwise “basic” pants. These pants are like wearing pajama pants or sweats to work while looking like you’re in a suit. I’m in love.
Last but not least, I added yet another pop of color to the bottom with these soft furry burgundy moccasins from Payless Shoesource. Moccasins are so comfy and really cute and they surprisingly go with a lot of things. These fur-lined shoes keep your feet warm and are also great for days when you’ll be doing a lot of walking or standing. I like the way that the burgundy on bottom and mustard yellow on top are broken up by the neutral heather gray in the middle.
Last but not least, I added this cute and simple gold key necklace from Forever 21 to accessorize but not overwhelm.
