OOTD: Nautical Tie Top

I love nautical clothes and accessories. And when I wear one, I want to wear them all and really go for the sailor look! That being said, it’s a little weird to walk down the streets in a yacht captain’s hat? So here is an example of a way I combined nautical items without going OVERBOARD (Get it?? Overboard??).

I love this cropped nautical tie top from Fashion Rush. It’s not quite a crop top, but it’s a little shorter than most other shirts. That causes attention for the little tie and keyhole in the front. The chevron print is funky and the fabric is soft. Also, the fit is very flattering and the sleeves are big enough to make it so that they don’t cut off your arm circulation, or make your arms look fat!

I paired it with these slim white jeans from Wet Seal. White jeans can be hard to pull off, especially when you’re wearing white on top. Luckily, the main color in this top seems to be blue, so the combination works.

Just chillin’.

Lastly, I added my gold Sperries for a nautical touch. Nothing says “nautical” like leather boat shoes, and these gold ones are girly and fun.

This look is cute for late summer/early fall, when you want to get the most out of your summer staples, but you are a little cold at night!
