As has been well-documented on my blog, I love pencil skirts. I have purchased all the pencil skirts I’ve found in pretty colors. Rather than pair them with button-downs like a middle-aged office manager, I try to make them young (and body-flattering) by tucking in t-shirts.
This olive green pencil skirt from Charlotte Russe was a really fun find. I loved that it broke away from the traditional colors. In addition, olive / military green has been really trendy this fall and winter, and I’m not digging the whole military jacket look. This classy pencil skirt is another way I can rock the color.
I tucked in this black basic v-neck t-shirt from H&M. White would also have matched, but I love how the black brings out the darker, moodier undertones in the olive green shade.
I utilized black again for footwear. These strappy wedges are from Payless. As the weather is getting colder, I’m substituting them for black suede stiletto ankle booties.
I kept jewelry simple, with this gold leaf necklace from Forever 21. In my mind, the gold leaves are like the leaves on this olive tree of an outfit? ok a stretch I know.
How are you wearing olive green this season? Let me know in the comments!
I LOVE that olive green is making a comeback. I’ve always loved the richness of the color. And I, too, love to mix it with black vs. white.
I just got a scarf in an olive shade, which I’ll be rocking this season!

Can’t wait to see it!
