My absolute favorite trend of spring / summer 2020 was the paper bag waist trend. I love it so much, I’m rocking it well into fall.

We all know that we didn’t have many places to be this year. When you’re in quarantine, the most important thing is to be comfy. However, that doesn’t have to mean living in PJs or sweatpants. In fact, multiple studies show that getting dressed for the day, even when working from home (or funemployed from home) is the best way to get your butt into gear. It helps with motivation and staves off pandemic depression.

I love paper bag waist shorts because they are cute, trendy and figure-flattering, but also so comfy! I love the loose, relaxed fit and the wider legs.

More often than not, I’m wearing these shorts with a plain v-neck tee, such as I would wear for a workout, tucked in to the shorts. But on the rare occasions when I leave the house, that’s where peplum blouses come in.

Cropped peplum blouses were specially designed this season to go with high-waisted shorts such as these! They fan out over the waistline rather than tuck in. This green and white blouse is super cute.

These studded white gladiator sandals are legit the only summer shoes I’ve bought all year. After all, who needs shoes when you don’t go anywhere? Normally I’d never wear flat sandals if I wasn’t at the water, but these sandals are cute and comfy, aka ideal for quarantine 2020.
