I’ve been enjoying the recent trend of flowy bohemian tops. The style is cute, confident and comfortable. But with oversize cuts, it’s easy to overwhelm your frame. That’s where proportions are key.

I found this beautiful long-sleeved boho top at Forever 21. The pattern and colors are perfect for fall – warm and happy but also more subdued.

Because the top is large, I tucked it into a white high-waisted skirt from Express. To avoid looking stodgy or too corporate, I only front-tucked one side of the shirt. That makes it look neat and polished, but not TOO perfect. And it also maintains the breezy shape of the top.

Next, these brown wedges from Payless Shoesource are perfect for transitioning from the hot LA summer weather into proper fall weather. It’s still hot during the day, meaning wedges are still appropriate footwear!

To emphasize the warm colors in the top, I chose gold jewelry. This giraffe necklace from Forever 21 and gold cuff ring from Gorjana are fun and simple, perfect for the outfit.
