Am I the only one who thinks patterns have gotten kinda boring? There are stripes, checkered flannel prints and florals. Rarely does one see polka dots anymore. Tie-dye is obviously passe. What else is there, really?
I fell in love with this soft long-sleeved button-down blouse when I saw it at H&M. I love black, as any of my readers would have noticed by now. But I also love the print. The geometric shapes are fun and unexpected. This blouse is a great way to look professional without being boring.
I paired the top with my favorite black glitter pants, also from H&M. These spandex pants have a hint of sparkle in them and are super fun.
Black riding boots from Payless Shoesource round out the black ensemble.
For accessories, I had some fun with silver. In addition to my normal everyday Tiffany’s T&Co double band silver ring, I added this silver “X” cross ring from Wanderlust + Co. to my left hand. I’m a big fan of silver rings that are understated but still funky.
I also added this Kendra Scott Mabel necklace in silver platinum drusy that came in one of my Rocksbox sets. The gem is small and minimalist, but the rugged, rough texture is fun and reminiscent of how you’d find a stone in nature.
What other fun prints and patterns can you think of? Let me know in the comments!
