Followers of my Instagram know that I love shift dresses. Basically, if Lulus sells a shift dress, I own it. Shift dresses are always professional, occasionally figure-flattering and often boast cute patterns. I have solid shift dresses, patterned shift dresses and flowy shift dresses (which sounds like an oxymoron but is actually a cute look).
I love this blue and white shift dress. The blue is a grayish shade, maybe best described by the Crayola crayon color”Cadet Blue“. I like that the blue and white make it spring and summer appropriate, but the muted blue shade allows me to wear it into fall.
I added nude strappy kitten-heel sandals, since the colors in the dress speak for themselves. However, you could also easily play up the white details in the dress by adding white wedges or sandals.
I wore this outfit in the dog days of summer to a delicious lunch at Miramonte Winery with my mom and puppy, Marshmallow. We had a great time sipping sangria, eating flatbread pizza and looking cute.
