How many excuses do you have for being late somewhere?

“Sorry, traffic was a nightmare”. (Traffic was fine. You just left the house late).

“Sorry, I slept through my alarm – I don’t know why I’m so tired!” (After staying up all night binging Netflix or reading a good book).

“Sorry, my kids / dogs / partner held me back!” (They did no such thing).

I’m going to stop the lies and just tell the truth as to why I’m late with this handy dandy sweatshirt that says exactly what we’re all thinking, straight up -“Sorry I’m late, I didn’t want to come“.

When I saw this fleece sweatshirt at Shop Bella Allure Boutique, I just HAD to have it. I’m notorious for being late everywhere. While usually the reason is because at age 28, I still have no idea how long it takes me to get ready, or due to my narcolepsy, the reason IS sometimes that I just didn’t want to leave my house.

I wore this sweatshirt to happy hour with a friend, and she was instantly offended. I then reminded her to be fair, I don’t really like to leave my house at all, and it had nothing to do with her. She understood. At least we were upfront??

I then wore the sweatshirt on a weekend getaway to Big Bear with some friends. The other friends in the cabin laughed when they saw my sweatshirt. I love that most people, with the exception of those annoying on-time people, can really relate to the sentiment here.

And because the sweatshirt is so comfy, I really DON’T want to leave the house when I have it on. I want to curl up on the couch (or porch swing) with a good book and a cozy blanket and my puppy.

So, sorry not sorry I’m late.
