OOTD: Spring Is In The Air

It doesn’t feel like it this week, due to a cold spell and a rainstorm that ruined everyone’s weekend plans, but it’s officially spring! It’s too cold to bring out the full-on summer clothes, but a lot of layered winter clothes just feel so passe. This outfit is the perfect compromise between dressing for the season and dressing for the weather outside.

I love this baby-pink bird-print button-down shirt from H&M. I have this shirt in nearly every color and print, because it is just so perfect for work. The cut is appropriate for work, but it’s also figure-flattering. In other words, it’s perfect for a young professional. The pastel color and cute bird pattern are also great for springtime.

To keep the look muted and neutral, I added these gray yoga pants from Forever 21. I love wearing yoga pants/leggings as pants. It’s a great look for spring, when you want to be covered up but not too bundled.

Because hot weather means no more knee-high boots, I decided to get one last wear out of these heather gray knee-high boots from Payless Shoesource. They’re so cute but I’ll definitely have to retire them when the weather gets warmer, or risk looking weird (or my legs over-heating).

Silver jewelry is perfect with gray. My “Britt” necklace is from Monogram Online, and my silver ring is from Tiffany’s.
