I’ve been trying to get more into cardigans. They’re so cute, and you can jazz up any basic solid-color blouse or sweater with them.
However, in SoCal there really isn’t much excuse to wear a cardigan or a jacket. A sweater is often (more than) enough to keep you warm during the day. At night, a warmer jacket might be better than a cardigan. Plus, we really aren’t going anywhere where you need a jacket right now, thanks to covid – going from temperature controlled homes to cars to a business, getting in and out quickly, and then heading back home.
So I brought out this cute rust, gray and white striped cardigan for Sunday dinner with the in-laws. It is so soft and comfy, and fitted – not bulky like so many cardigans. It doesn’t fall off your shoulders and otherwise be super annoying.
It added some pizazz to an otherwise simple outfit of a beige button-up blouse, dark skinny jeans and ankle booties.
I’m obsessed with these studded ankle booties, by the way. They are supremely comfortable, the perfect height and a gorgeous pointy-toe style. The gold studs really make them perfection, in my eyes, and I wear them constantly!
I also have my eternal love for floppy felt hats, to hide quarantine roots and also cover the fact that I can’t get volume in my roots to save my life.
Do you own any cardigans? Let me know in the comments!
