Summer is ending. And as much as I love fall fashion, I’m pretty sad about saying goodbye to summer. Between the river and the beach, not worrying about rain, not having to remember to bring a jacket and just general sunshine, summer is my favorite time of year.
I dressed for my summertime sadness with this summer-worthy outfit that still kinda maybe sorta transitions to fall – aka it has a pencil skirt.
I started with this bright royal blue pencil skirt from Charlotte Russe. I’ve been on a pencil skirt kick lately and fell in love with this bright color. My eyes are bright blue, and wearing the color helps bring them out.
To emphasize the bold blue even further, I added these blue wedges from Payless. There’s nothing like some good old-fashioned “blue suede shoes” (or pretending you’re wearing blue suede shoes when you’re really wearing canvas).
To tone down the brightness, I wore a white zipper crop top, also from Charlotte Russe. I like this top because you can make it as cleavage-y as you want. Zip to the top for some conservatism, zip midway for some boobage. It’s as simple as that.
I kept jewelry simple with this Tiffany’s heart necklace, Tiffany’s double-band ring and silver Wanderlust + Co. left-hand ring.
How are you saying goodbye to summer? Let me know in the comments!
Looking so beautiful! <3
Have a great day,
