Two years ago the trend was pearl jeans and pearl tights. This year, the trend has been pearl sweaters. You can find a pearl sweater just about anywhere, but I held out for just the right one.

I found my One True Pearl Sweater at online boutique Boston Proper. The light baby-pink color, the perfect number of pearls, the off-the-shoulder fit – I couldn’t resist!

Even though it’s winter, I paired the pearl sweater with white ripped jeans. I’m so glad the No White After Labor Day rule is officially over, even though I must admit I did feel a little weird in bright white! I just don’t think blue jeans would have been the right match for such a pale pink sweater.

I wanted the focus to be on my sweater, so I finished the look with plain brown peep-toe booties. This outfit was perfect for a double-date brunch at the wineries!
