OOTD: The Wrap Dress

Thanks to Diane von Furstenberg’s ingenious design, the wrap dress has been a quintessential clothing item for professional women everywhere for decades.

The idea behind the wrap dress is simple. The cut flatters every body type, skimming over curves and creating soft lines where there weren’t any. Not to mention it is super comfortable and can come in literally any color, pattern or print.

As a 26-year-old working professional, I decided it was time to purchase my first wrap dress. I picked up this black and white animal print wrap dress at Banana Republic. I’m not usually one for animal print, but this pattern is a lot more subtle than, say, brown leopard.

I paired it with these black suede ankle booties from Payless. With such a bold print, footwear and accessories have to be kept simple!

I stuck to the classics with jewelry, opting for just a Tiffany’s heart necklace and silver Tiffany’s ring to keep the focus on the dress.
