The combination of black and nude/beige is one of my favorites. There’s something so sleek and understatedly sexy about it. This outfit is one of my go-tos for a night on the town.
I started with this beige/nude pencil skirt from Charlotte Russe. I’ve recently become obsessed with pencil skirts, for the way they emphasize my hourglass figure. Although I love my small waist, I’ve always been self-conscious about my wide hips and big booty. Wearing pencil skirts has been my way of pushing myself out of my comfort zone and trying to achieve body acceptance. This pencil skirt is incredibly flattering – it minimizes my waist and skims over my curves.
I paired it with this black ribbed crop top from Forever 21. I love short sleeves because I’m not a huge fan of my arms. This crop top makes me feel super confident, due to the cut and the super-soft material. I also love the funky touch of the inverted triangle.
These black wedges are from Payless. I love how they are both strappy and chunky at the same time, the perfect marriage of two awesome shoe trends. They’re also incredibly comfortable, and I could walk/dance all night in them!
For jewelry, I wanted to up the classy factor. This gold and pearl necklace is from Forever 21, and it adds a feminine, sophisticated vibe.
How do you rock pencil skirts? Let me know in the comments!
