Black and white is the quintessential professional color combination. When in doubt, a white blouse and black skirt or pants will show you are put-together. Men wear white button-downs with black pants and black jackets. They also wear this to formal gatherings like weddings. Servers and hosts wear this color combination to show they mean business. It’s just so classic and easy.

I like this black and white Forever 21 dress because it combines everything into one piece. Just put on the dress and done! The black skirt is form-fitting, and the white blouse section is flowy. Perfect for a work mixer or party.

To accessorize, I added this black and gold statement necklace from Perry Street. This heavy piece of jewelry adds a nice flair to any otherwise simple outfit. It came in one of my Rocksbox sets and I immediately purchased it.

To continue the black and gold accessories theme, I wore these black and gold wedges from Payless. These shoes are super uncomfortable, due to all the hardware and leather, but so cute that sometimes I suffer through the pain.

Lastly, I wore a gold cuff ring from Gorjana and my usual Tiffany’s silver double-band ring.
