As anyone who reads my blog regularly has figured out, I love crop tops! They’re my favorite kind of top. Paired with high-waisted bottoms, they’re a cute way to show off your figure. But crop tops aren’t just for the beach. I wear this black silky off-the-shoulder crop top from Forever 21 out on the town whenever I can!

I love this crop top because it’s so sexy. With off the shoulder sleeves, a cropped fit and side cutouts, it’s alluring and perfect for a fun bar or a club. I do not have the figure for strapless bras, so I wear a regular black Victoria’s Secret bra with this top. Luckily, the way the top is cut makes the bra blend right in – I don’t think it’s noticeable that the straps that are showing are from a bra, not from the top.

I paired the shirt with this white high-waisted skirt from”H&M. I purchased this skirt for a work conference, then quickly realized it wasn’t going to work for work – so to speak. It’s way too tight, and it rides up when I sit, exposing the liner/slip underneath. Definitely NOT the professional look I was going for. Instead, I wear it out at night when I won’t be sitting, so the skirt stays in place.

Nighttime calls for heels. These black and gold geometric wedges are from Payless. I purchased them online, so I didn’t have the chance to try them on first. Unfortunately for me, these shoes are SO uncomfortable. The straps are hard and inflexible and they hurt my toes and give me heel blisters. I’m hoping to be able to break them in, because they are so pretty!

For accessories, I continued the black and gold theme with this bold statement necklace from Perry Street. This necklace came in one of my Rocksbox sets and I fell in love. It’s so heavy – the jewels are shiny and heavy and really make for a bold look. It also looks way more expensive than it is.

I added on this gold Gorjana cuff ring (also from a Rocksbox set) and, of course, my everyday silver Tiffany’s ring.
