Crop tops are my favorite. Most of the crop tops I have are pretty plain/casual, like solid-colored t-shirts or frocket crop tops. I generally wear them on weekends during the day with high-waisted skater skirts or high-waisted maxi skirts, or sometimes even high-waisted shorts if I’m going super casual (or to the beach).

It’s not often that you find a crop top that you can wear out at night, so I was stoked to find this sequin crop top at Forever 21! The top is so cute. It fits well and shows just enough midriff but not too much. The short sleeves are flattering and the black sequins on black fabric make the top fun and young, but not too flashy.

I paired this sequin crop top with a plain black high-waisted skirt from H&M. The skirt is part of the H&M Basics collection, where everything is 2/$10. What a steal! I like how the tight fit balances off the flippy end of the crop top.

Last but not least come my favorite black suede wedges from Payless. Because the outfit is so out-there already, I opted not to wear accessories. A simple silver bracelet may be the only viable option here to avoid making the outfit too busy.
