One of my favorite things to do is to push the boundaries with fashion. What fun is fashion if you wear the same thing every day? Sure, it’s easy to slip on a dress or a t-shirt and jeans in the morning. But it’s just as easy to put on…a jumpsuit!!
I have ALWAYS wanted a jumpsuit but they are hard to shop for. Having an hourglass figure is nice until you need to go shopping – my bust never matches my waist never matches my hips for the pre-determined clothing sizes in most stores. I instantly fell in love with this black and white jumpsuit when I saw it at Forever 21 but I was so scared to try it on – I thought the experience would be a disaster.
Luckily for me, the jumpsuit fit great!! I love the tight (faux) leather strapless bustier bodice. The deep cuts show some cleavage, good for me since strapless bras tend to smush me down and make me look quite unflattering. I love that the pants begin so high up on my waist, making my waist look small and the fabric skim over my hips.
But best of all, I LOVE the super-wide pants. They remind me of Katharine Hepburn. She wasn’t afraid to hide her trim figure in gigantic pant legs because she wore tighter blouses. She really rocked the look. I’ve always been afraid of it, not really being a pants person myself. But I decided to try it anyway and step out of my fashion comfort zone!

Because the pants are so long (and I am so short) this jumpsuit NEEDS heels. I paired it with my super-high black suede wedges from Payless to keep the jumpsuit from dragging on the ground.
Last but not least, I continued to channel the classic vibe with the standard Tiffany’s sterling silver heart necklace. You don’t need many accessories when your outfit does all the talking!
