Floral prints are usually reserved for daytime. And for good reason – they’re summery, remind us of nature and springtime, are often ladylike and – of course – flowers bloom during the day and close up at night.
However, there’s no real reason why we can’t bring flowers and floral prints into the evening hours. Mixing florals with dark colors is one way to do so!
This black sunflower print crop top from Forever 21 is a good place to start. I love how booby the cut is – perfect for a night out on the town. The sleeves make it a little more covered-up, and the little side-ruching/side-tie is a fun detail.
I paired the top with a solid black cotton miniskirt from H&M. H&M’s Basics collection offers basic pieces like miniskirts and t-shirts 2 for $10 or 2 for $20. So this skirt was only $5, and is super flattering.
In keeping with the nighttime theme, I wore these black suede stiletto booties from Payless Shoesource. Last but not least, I added this gold leaf necklace from Forever 21. I like this addition because it dresses up the outfit, but also because it totally goes with the sunflower idea (leaves).
How do you rock flowers at night? Let me know in the comments!
